SPEDSM-86310

ContactType Part B Keyword Table and Special Education Part B profile Updates

• Added a new keyword Official with keyword code 4 to the ContactTypePartB keyword table.

• When the user chooses Other as an option for the Part C To Part B Delay Reason field in the student's Special Education Part B profile, the system now provides a large text area with increased character size. It will allow the user to provide more detailed information about the delay reason.

Comparable Services Plan Document

• When the document is finalized, the Comparable Services Start Date flows to the Comparable Services Start Date on the Special Education Part B profile.

• The services indicated on the Comparable Services document will flow to the IEP Services Part B profile with an IEP Type as Initial IEP.

Part C Medicaid Claims Report

Made the following changes to the standard Part C Medicaid Claims report:

• The report will now list the service records logged using Service Capture with session status as Completed, Makeup, or Joint Visit. If the service record requires a supervisor, then service records marked as completed and approved will be listed on the report.

• The columns for therapist details will show the staff's or supervisor's information based on if the service record requires a supervisor or not. The therapist details will be pulled from the supervisor's staff profile if the service requires a supervisor. Otherwise, the therapist's details will be retrieved from the service provider or staff's profile. The therapist details on the report include columns like NPI number, Therapist's Last Name, Therapist's First Name, Speciality, License Number, License Issue and Expiry date, and staff's Effective Start & End date.

• Added a new column labeled Actual Therapist Name. This column will display the service provider's or staff's name associated with the service record when Yes is selected for the Supervisor Required field. However, this column will remain blank if the service record does not require a supervisor and No is set for the Supervisor Required field. If the service record does not require a supervisor and No is selected for the Supervisor Required field, this column will be blank.

Part C Medicaid - Evaluation Report

Added a new standard report Evaluation Report Part C to the state model. The report is listed under Reporting, Standard Reports, Part C Medicaid category. The report displays children’s details who were evaluated within the past year from the date the report is generated. This report displays details of children evaluated within the past year from the date the report is generated.

Parental Consent Part C Report

Added a new standard report named Parental Consent Part C to the state model. The report is listed under Reporting, Standard Reports, Part C Medicaid category. The report displays children details who have granted Medicaid consent within the past year from the date the report is generated.

Delivered Services Part C Report

Added a new standard report named Delivered Services Part C to the state model. The report is listed under Reporting, Standard Reports, Part C Medicaid category. The report displays details about the services (Service Capture) delivered to the children within the past 365 days from the date the report is generated, where the Billing Claim Status is Medicaid Batched.

Service Records Part C Profile

Made the following changes to the Service Records Part C profile:

• The system sends a notification message system to the Global Billing Specialist when a Service record with session status as Joint Visit is marked as completed. The message will contain the service name (for example, Speech) and date of request with Student ID to make it more informative.

• The system will now send a notification message to the Medicaid Case Managers associated with the insurance provider listed on the Service record. The message is sent when the Service Capture record with Session Status as Teaming Meeting is marked as completed. The message will contain details like type of service, date of request, and student ID.

• The system now validates the supervisor’s license to approve the service record for the given discipline. If the supervisor license is required and the supervisor does not have a valid license, the system will not allow marking the service record as approved. The user will be displayed with a validation message.

• While working with service records for a given Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) service, if the Method is Individual, the user must select only Individual as Session Type. The user will not be allowed to choose Group as the session type. A validation message will be displayed to the user. However, if the Method of IFSP service is Group, the Session Type can be either Group or Individual while using on the Service Record.

• Made the Completion Date field to view-only on the UI. The field will be updated with the date on which the service record is marked as Completed and the record is saved. The Completed checkbox and the Completion Date will always be the last field on the Service record UI.

• The Approval checkbox on the service record UI is now editable for the Billing Specialist user configured on the Globals profile. The Billing Specialist can select either Yes or No in the Approval field.
