Special Education Profile and Disability Profile

• Special Education Profile:

  • In the Initial Eligibility Information section, the field label was updated from:

    • {{ {EligOutcomeCalc} }} to {{{ InitialEligibilityOutcome} }}.

  • In the Eligibility Determination section, the field label was updated from

    • {{ {InitialEligibilityOutcome} }} to {{ {EligOutcome} }}.

• Disability History Profile:

  • Field label Start Date was changed to Eligibility Determination Date

  • The database field updated from:

    • {{ {StartDate} }} to {{ {EligDeterminationDate} }}.

  • Field label End Date was changed to Disability Type End Date

  • The database field was updated from

    • {{ {EndDate} }} to {{ {DisTypeEndDate} }}.

Exiting Special Education

• New profile ‘Special Education Exits’ added:
  Profile includes two required fields when adding a record via the profile:

  • Special Education Exit Date

  • Special Education Exit Reason

• Final Eligibility Document: Upon finalization, if the student is found eligible, the Special Education Exit Date and Special Education Exit Reason will be cleared from the Special Education profile if the student has a Special Education Exit date and Special Education Exit Reason in the Special Education profile.

• PWN Exit Document Update: Upon finalization, the Special Education Exit Date and Special Exit Reason will flow to the Special Education Exits profile to create a historical record, in addition to continuing to flow to the Special Education profile.

• Referral Document Validation: When a user selects Reevaluations as the Referral Type/Reason, and the student has an SE Exit Date or SE Exit Reason in the Special Education profile, the system will prevent saving and display the message:
  The student has a Special Education Exit Date/Exit Reason on the Special Education profile. A Re-evaluation Referral Reason is not valid.

• One Time Script A one-time data migration script was run that inserted the Special Education Exit date and Special Exit Reason values (2) from the Special Education profile, inserting into the new Special Education Exits profile.

IEP Present Levels Section

For new IEPs created after the feature is deployed in version 8.0.1, there are now 2 required text boxes that appear under the “Present Levels of Academic Achievement/Functional Performance” section. The two new text box labels are:

• “Description of how the student’s disability affects the student’s access to the general education curriculum:” 

• “Description of how the student’s disability affects the student’s progress in the general education curriculum:”

AED

• Fixed an issue where opening the AED document in configuration mode caused the screen to go grey with a pop-up about required field corrections.

• Updated behavior so that AED now opens to the AED ~2024 section by default instead of the AED Retired section.
