IEP Revision and IEP at a Glance section

Creating Revision of an IEP Document

During its workflow journey, the IEP Document transitions from Draft to Finalized status. However, there are instances where a finalized document may require modifications.

In such cases, you can create a revision of the document and edit it. This approach prevents inconsistencies, as reverting a document from Finalized to Draft status can create ambiguity. Additionally, maintaining separate versions enhances the ability to track and compare changes across multiple iterations.

The following preconditions must be met to create a revised version of the IEP document.

  • There must be an existing IEP Document in ‘Finalized’ status.

  • There must be a ‘Notice of Case Conference’ created and signed.

    • Either ‘Revise IEP’ or ‘Revise IEP without a meeting’ must be selected in the above notice document.

Viewing The IEP at a Glance Document

Given the extensive nature of the IEP Document, a summary is often beneficial. This is where ‘IEP at a Glance’ proves helpful. It consolidates the most essential and mandatory sections of the full IEP Document, providing a concise reference.

IEP at a Glance is a summarized document. It is accessible in “Read-Only” format.

Whenever the IEP Document is modified, the IEP at a Glance document gets updated automatically. However, you must refresh the existing document or close and re-open it to view the changes.
