Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) Profile

The least restrictive environment (LRE) ensures that students with disabilities receive their education alongside their non-disabled peers to the maximum extent appropriate while still receiving the necessary support and services.

You can pick one of the following environments.

  • 26 - Regular Early Childhood, at least 10 Hours, Classroom

  • 27 - Regular Early Childhood, at least 10 Hours, Other Location

  • 28 - Regular Early Childhood, less than 10 Hours, Classroom

  • 29 - Regular Early Childhood, less than 10 Hours, Other Location

  • 33 - Special Education Program, Separate Class

  • 34 - Special Education Program, Separate School

  • 35 - Special Education Program, Residential Facility

  • 36 - In-service provider or uncategorized location

  • 37 - Services provided at home

  • 38 - Private Preschool

  • 50 - Regular class 80% or more (In a regular classroom for 80% or more of the day)

  • 51 - Resource Room (In a regular class for 40% to 79% of the day)

  • 52 - Separate Class (In a regular class for less than 40% of the day)

  • 53 - Separate Day School Facility

  • 54 - Residential Facility

  • 55 - Correctional Facility

  • 56 - Parentally placed in a Private School

  • 57 - Homebound/Hospital
