Services Profile
The Services Profile in an Individualized Education Program (IEP) is a section that outlines the special education and related services a student will receive based on their unique needs. This profile ensures that the student can access the Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) which is guaranteed under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
Key components
Special Education Services
Specifies the type of instruction or interventions provided (e.g., resource room, push-in support, self-contained classroom).
Includes modifications and accommodations necessary for success.
Related Services
Includes therapies or additional services required, such as:
Speech-Language Therapy
Occupational Therapy (OT)
Physical Therapy (PT)
Counseling Services
Transportation (if needed due to disability)

Service Delivery Details
Frequency: How often the services will be provided (e.g., 3 times per week).
Duration: Length of each session (e.g., 30 minutes per session).
Location: Where services will be provided (e.g., general education classroom, resource room).
Provider: The responsible professional (e.g., special education teacher, speech therapist).
Extended School Year (ESY) Consideration
Determines whether the student qualifies for ESY services based on data (e.g., regression during breaks).
