Special Education Program Profile

The Special Education Program Profile is a structured form designed to track and manage student enrollment, eligibility, and progress in special education programs. It ensures compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) regulations and assists administrators in maintaining accurate records for educational planning and reporting.

This profile captures essential data, including program details, eligibility criteria, timelines for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), disability classifications, and compliance tracking.

To navigate to the Special Education Program Profile:

  1. On the menu, click Search, then click Students.

  2. Search for a student using ID, Last Name, or First Name. Alternatively, click on the Profile icon for a student name from Select Recent Student.

  3. Click Student Information and from the fly-out menu, select Special Education Program Profile.

This page shows a table with all existing Special Education Program profiles already saved in the system. From here, you can View, Edit, or Delete an existing profile.

  • Click on the magnifier icon to open the Program Association Profile in read-only mode.

  • Click on the pencil icon to edit the Program Association Profile.

  • Click the X to delete. Click Ok to confirm deletion.

  • Click Add New Program Association to add a new Profile.

  • Click Add New Special Education Program to add a new Program.

When the page loads, all mandatory fields in this section are highlighted with a yellow background. If these fields are not completed at the time of form submission, they will be marked with a pink background.

Based on the Program Category Selected, the Program Name list gets auto-populated.

Also, note that this field remains hidden when the page loads and shows only when the Program Category has been selected.

The location where the student has enrolled in the course.

Program Exit Reason

The reason why the student ended their program.

Workflow Steps

  1. Identify Student: Locate the student’s profile to access their special education details.

  2. Review Data: Review the pre-filled information, if applicable, for accuracy and updates.

  3. Input/Update Fields: Enter new details or adjust existing data within the provided fields for each section.

  4. Validation: Confirm all mandatory fields are completed.

  5. Save: Click Accept Changes to save and apply updates. To discard any changes, click Cancel Editing.
