Manage Public Statement Banks

To manage public statements for a particular narrative text area, open the Statements Bank window for that narrative text area, and from the edit mode, click the insert icon.

Manage Public Statement Banks

By default, Public is selected from the Owner drop-down menu.

  1. If you need to modify statements for a category, select it from the Owner field.
  2. To edit the list of statements, click Edit Statements.
  3. Enter any number of statements separated by pressing Enter.
  4. To spell-check your statements, click the Spell Check icon.

  5. To insert a macro that will be replaced with the appropriate name or pronoun, click the desired macro in the list of available macros at the bottom of the window.
  6. Click Save.

Review User Submissions

  1. Click Review User Submissions. If this link does not appear, you do not have the correct security permissions. The Statement Bank window displays all submissions and the users who submitted them.
  2. To add a statement to the public bank, select the checkbox next to the statement.
  3. To message the user who submitted statements, click the user ID/Name link.
  4. When you have finished selecting the statements to add to the public bank, click Accept. The selected statements are copied into the general public statements category, and all submissions (including those not selected) are cleared.

Statements Categories

If a narrative text area has numerous statements, using statements categories can make it easier to select from and manage these statements.

  1. Click Manage Categories.
  2. To add a category, click Add New Category. Enter a name for the new category, and then click Accept.
  3. To move statements from the general category into the new category you have defined, select (general) from the Category drop-down menu, and then click Move Statements.
  4. Select the checkboxes next to the statements you want to move.
  5. Scroll down if necessary, select the category into which you want to move the statements, and then click Move.
