Present Levels of Performance And Goals

1. Within the IEP document, navigate to Present Levels of Performance And Goals using the flyout menu.

2. The system auto-populates:

   • Student Name and USI from the Student Info/Demo Part B profile.

   • Meeting Date from the IEP cover sheet.

3. Select a response for the checkbox labeled Will the student be participating in the Statewide Alternate Assessment? This question only appears on the first goal page within the IEP document.

   • If the user selects Yes, the system displays a long stylized text box labeled Short Term Objective or Benchmark.

4. Select a value from the Goal Area drop-down list. The system will auto-populate this field from the Needs Identified field within the Eligibility Report.

5. Select This goal will be used for ESY checkbox if the student is eligible for ESY.

6. Enter text within the Present Levels of Academic Achievement/Functional Performance stylized text field. The user must type a minimum of 20 characters in the text box.

7. Enter text within the Measurable Annual Goal stylized text field. The system auto-populates the goals and goal areas from the previous IEP if it was not mastered in the Progress Report from the previous IEP. The user must type a minimum of 20 characters in the text box.

8. Enter a date in the Anticipated Date of Achievement field. The user cannot enter a date before the IEP date.

9. Select the applicable checkboxes under Evaluation Procedures and Evaluation Schedule.

10. Select How often will progress be reported to the parent/guardian? drop-down list.

11. If the Goal Area is Academic - Mathematic, Academic - Reading, or Academic - Written Expression, the Grade Level Standard field appears. The system provides a reference link for content standards. The user can only select from the grade level standards for the grade the student is enrolled in.

12. Click Save, Done Editing.

• If the student has a previously finalized IEP, the system will display a Click here to view previous IEP hyperlink. Click the link to view the latest finalized Progress Report from the previous IEP.

• The Measurable Annual Goal text box appears only if the user has selected Yes for the Will the student be participating in the Statewide Alternate Assessment? checkbox. The user must type a minimum of 20 characters in the text box.

• Click the plus icon to create additional short-term objective stylized text fields.

• The user can add multiple learning starndard using the Select from Curriculum button within the Grade Level Standard field.

Add Additional Goals

1. While the Present Level and Goals page is in view mode, select Present Levels of Performance And Goals - Setup drop-down list.

2. Select one of the following options to add additional goals to the IEP document:

   • Add New Present Levels of Performance & Goals

   • Insert New Present Levels of Performance & Goals

   • Duplicate Present Levels of Performance & Goals

3. Repeat steps 2 to 12 mentioned in Present Levels of Performance And Goals.

Delete Goals

1. While the Present Level and Goals page is in view mode, select Present Levels of Performance And Goals - Setup drop-down list.

2. Select Delete Present Levels of Performance & Goal.

Reposition Goals

1. While the Present Level and Goals page is in view mode, select Present Levels of Performance And Goals - Setup drop-down list.

2. Select Shift Present Levels of Performance & Goal Up or Shift Present Levels of Performance & Goal Down.

3. Repeat steps 2 to 12 mentioned in Present Levels of Performance And Goals.
