Transition IEP Advanced Report
The Transition IEP Advanced Report gives a deeper look at how well transition planning is being done for students with IEPs. It focuses on key data related to helping students move from school to adult life, including jobs, college, or independent living.
This report helps schools and districts:
Analyze trends in transition planning across multiple students
Monitor compliance with transition requirements
Identify gaps or areas for improvement in services and goals
Support data-driven decision-making at the program level
It’s designed for advanced users who need a broader or more detailed view of transition planning across programs or student groups.
Submission requirements
To be included in the Transition IEP Advanced Report, the student must have an active IEP, be age 14 or older (or younger if transition planning has begun), and the IEP must include all required transition components—such as post-secondary goals, transition services, courses of study, and related annual goals. The IEP must also show that the student was invited to the meeting and that outside agencies were invited if needed. All required fields must be filled out, and the IEP must be finalized or submitted during the reporting period.
