Penn Data Tables 1, 2, and 3

Table 1 - The number of special education teachers and paraprofessionals (in FTE) employed or contracted by the LEA to work with children with disabilities, ages 3-5. The table includes a count of special education teachers in full-time equivalency that are fully certified or not fully certified and paraprofessionals that are qualified or not qualified serving children ages 3-5 by the LEA.

Table 2 - The number of special education teachers and paraprofessionals (in FTE) employed or contracted by the LEA to work with children with disabilities, ages 6-21. The table includes a count of special education teachers in full-time equivalency that are fully certified or not fully certified and paraprofessionals that are qualified or not qualified serving children ages 6-21 by the LEA.

Table 3 - The number of related services personnel (in FTE) employed or contracted by the LEA to provide related services for children with disabilities, ages 3-21. This table includes the count and types of related services personnel in full-time equivalency that are fully certified or not fully certified serving children 3-21 by the LEA. The fraction of the teacher's time must be reported to two decimal places.

Tables 1, 2, and 3 include staff that are active based on or around the December child count date. 

Prerequisites

Table 1

The report includes records from the Staff profile that meet the following criteria:

  • The staff member must be active within the reporting date range. Uses the staff's active and inactive dates compared to Globals School/Calendar Penn Data Snapshot Date field. The staff's active and inactive dates must be in the range of the Penn Data Snapshot Date.

  • The Children Serviced value is Children Ages 3-5 (keyword=01) or Children Ages 3-21 (keyword=3to21). ChildrenServiced keyword table.

  • The Special Ed Teacher or Para-Professional field is selected.

  • The FTE field must have a value.

Table 2

The report includes records from the Staff profile that meet the following criteria: 

  • The staff member must be active within the reporting date range. Uses the staff's active and inactive dates compared to Globals School/Calendar Penn Data Snapshot Date field. The staff's active and inactive dates must be in the range of the Penn Data Snapshot Date.

  • The Children Serviced value is Children Ages 6-21 (keyword=02) or Children Ages 3-21 (keyword=3to21). ChildrenServiced keyword table.

  • The Special Ed Teacher or Para-Professional field is selected.

  • The FTE field must have a value.

Table 3

The report includes records from the Staff profile that meet the following criteria: 

  • The staff member must be active within the reporting date range. Uses the staff's active and inactive dates compared to Globals School/Calendar Penn Data Snapshot Date field. The staff's active and inactive dates must be in the range of the Penn Data Snapshot Date.

  • The Children Serviced value is Children Ages 6-21 (keyword=02), Children Ages 3-5 (keyword=01), or Children Ages 3-21 (keyword=3to21). ChildrenServiced keyword table.

  • The Other Special Ed Code has a valid value (PA_Codes = A1, 54, A2, 25, 56, 57, A3, 19, 02, A5, 03). Positions keyword table.

  • The Special Ed Teacher or Para-Professional field is selected.

  • The FTE field must have a value.

Run Report

  1. From the Reporting menu, choose Advanced Reports.

  2. Select Tables 1, 2, 3.

  3. Click Reprocess to refresh the report. 

  4. Select the applicable table (Table 1, Table 2, or Table 3) from the report's Select menu.

Export Report

  1. From the report, select Export > Excel

  2. Once the file is generated, click the XLS file to download it to your local computer. 

  3. Within Excel, remove rows one through four.

  4. Save the file using the CSV format.
