Manage Service Capture Module Privileges

Log in as a security administrator.

  1. Choose Administration, then Security.
  2. Click the security group you want to manage.
  3. Click Edit Properties/Privileges.
  4. Expand Student Profiles & Documents Privileges.
  5. Choose Grant for the following privileges:
    • View Service Records: Allows users to view service records directly without the service capture module. Assign this privilege only to system administrators.
    • Add Service Records: Allows users to add service records directly without the service capture module. Assign this privilege only to system administrators.
    • Edit Service Records: Allows users to edit service records directly without the service capture module. Assign this privilege only to system administrators.
    • Delete Service Records: Allows users to delete service records directly without the service capture module. Assign this privilege only to system administrators.
    • Caseload - Capture my Service Records: Allows users to access the Service Capture module and record services for students on the staff member's caseload. While users may not have privileges to view, add, edit, or delete service records, they must have the Access My Caseload privilege.
    • Non Caseload - Capture My Service Records: Allows users to access the Service Capture module and record services for any students the user is authorized to view through the student search. Assign this privilege to a service provider.
    • Schedule My Future Service Records: Allows users to schedule future services on the calendar. When the scheduled time arrives, the service provider can complete the record of those planned services.

Service capture privileges will appear only if your system is licensed and configured for the Service capture module of PowerSchool Special Programs.

  6. Expand Special Access Privileges.
  7. Choose Grant for View Staff Service Calendars. This allows supervisors to see the service calendars (and associated reports) for other staff members.

Grant or Deny privileges given to user profile group members, like system administrators, staff, or students, can be of two levels:

      • System-wide
      • Location-wide
  8. Click Accept.
