District Data Reporting
These reports are part of the Annual Data report submitted annually. Submit these reports during the state-specified collection window.
Special Education Personnel Data
This report is a data grid that provides counts for Special Education Personnel Data. The state collects this data annually for federal reporting purposes. This state report is a district-level document filled out by a staff member. When the document is finalized, it is written to the District State Reports profile. A snapshot of this report is created and approved for submission to the state each year.
The Special Education Personnel Data Summary document can be found under Search, Districts, Documents. Data entered on this document will be displayed on the report and snapshot.
Create and Finalize Document
The Special Education Personnel Data Summary document must be finalized before creating the report.
Navigate to Search Districts and select your district.
Select the Documents tab.
Add the Special Education Personnel Data Summary document.
Enter the current school year. For example, 2021 – 2022.
Enter the data counts on the document.
Click Save, Done Editing.
Finalize the document.
From the Set Document menu, select Status from Draft to Final.
Review the data that will be included in the report in the State Reports section of the District Profile.
Create Report
From the Reporting menu, select Standard Reports.
Expand the State Report – District Data section.
Select Special Education Personnel Data report.
Click Refresh.
Special Education Personnel Data Snapshot
Submit Report Using Snapshot and Approval
From the Reporting menu, select Standard Reports.
Expand the State Reports – Snapshots section.
Select Personnel Snapshot.
To view the data, select Populate Reporting Snapshot.
This will create a snapshot of the district state reporting profile data that flowed from the document.
To approve the report, select Approve Reporting Snapshot.
This will create the PowerSchool SIS export file, S_AL_SpecEdPersonnel_S, that will be sent to the state through the integration export process.
Review Report Data
Once the data is approved, you can review the data included in the export file.
From the Reporting menu, select Standard Reports.
Expand the PowerSchool SIS Export section.
Select S_AL_SpecEdPersonnel_S.
Corrections After Submission
You can only make corrections if the report has not been approved. If you need to make corrections after submitting the report, contact the appropriate state personnel to get the report unapproved before continuing.
You must make any corrections to the Special Education Personnel Data Summary document. Depending on your security permissions, the document can be amended or unfinalized. After you complete your corrections, finalize the document and make a new snapshot.
Review your changes before taking the snapshot in the State Reports section of the District Profile.

Special Education Supplemental Data
This report is a data grid that provides counts for projected Special Education Supplemental data. The state collects this data annually for federal reporting purposes. This state report is a staff-level document filled out by a staff member. When the document is finalized, it is written to the State Reports profile. A snapshot of this report is created and approved for submission to the state each year.
The Projected Special Education Supplemental Data document can be found under Search, Districts, and then Documents. Data entered on this document will be displayed on the report and snapshot.
Create and Finalize Document
The Projected Special Education Supplemental Data document must be finalized before creating the report.
Navigate to Search Districts and select your district.
Select the Documents tab.
Add the Projected Special Education Supplemental Data document.
Enter the projected school year. For example, 2022 – 2023.
Enter the data counts on the document.
Click Save, Done Editing.
Finalize the document.
From the Set Document menu, select Status from Draft to Final.
Review the data that will be included in the report in the State Reports section of the District Profile.
Create Report
From the Reporting menu, select Standard Reports.
Expand the State Report – District Data section.
Select Special Education Supplemental Data report.
Click Refresh.
Special Education Supplemental Data Snapshot
Submit Report Using Snapshot and Approval
From the Reporting menu, select Standard Reports.
Expand the State Reports – Snapshots section.
Select Supplemental Snapshot.
To view the data, select Populate Reporting Snapshot.
This will create a snapshot of the data entered on the Projected Special Education Supplemental Data document.
To approve the report, select Approve Reporting Snapshot.
This will create the PowerSchool SIS export file, S_AL_SpecEdSuppData_S, that will be sent to the state through the integration export process.
