Child Outcomes Summary Profile

The Child Outcomes Summary (COS) Profile provides a comprehensive view of a child's developmental progress in early intervention or Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) programs. It captures ratings from both the COS Entry and Exit Forms to assess growth in three key outcome areas:

  • Positive social-emotional skills (including relationships)

  • Acquisition and use of knowledge and skills (including communication)

  • Use of appropriate behaviors to meet needs

By comparing entry and exit ratings, the COS Profile helps evaluate individual progress and the overall effectiveness of intervention services.

Entry and Exit Dates

In this part of the Child Outcomes Summary (COS) Profile, the chronological data of the student being in IEP and Special Education.
