The section will now display the Goal marking period header and Objective marking period header regardless if any marking period information has been entered.

The progress report key was removed as the progress report displays the full descriptions of the drop-down values.

Speech IEP: Annual review meeting advance letter

When a Speech IEP is created with the Annual Review type, a linked draft template for the Annual Review Meeting Advance Letter is generated, and a compliance guidance message is displayed, while the IEP can be finalized regardless of the template's completion status.

Speech IEP required sections validation

Required sections for Speech IEPs are automatically included and cannot be removed or deselected during creation or editing, and guidance statements for specific sections are limited to edit mode.

• Updated the footer on all sections to “Revised August 2023.”

• Cover Page

  • Made Speech-Language Specialist, Speech IEP Start Date, and Reevaluation Due Date required fields.

  • Added the required-field validation message for Reevaluation Due Date.

  • Changed “Ethnic” to “Ethnicity.”

• IEP Meeting Participants

  • Updated the School District Representative description.

  • Made Regular Education Teacher, Speech-Language Specialist, Case Manager, and School District Representative required fields.

• Academic Achievement

  • Added hover-over text for “Present Levels…” to display the detailed instructions.

• Modifications/Supports

  • Updated the section instructions to clarify requirements for communication-related modifications, supplementary aids and services, and assistive technology.

• Notice Requirements

  • Updated the required language for describing the proposed action and the reason for the action.

  • Added the applicable N.J.A.C. 6A:14-2.3(g) references to the Notice Requirements questions.

  • Removed the “as a result of an amendment” label and checkbox.

  • Updated the wording for options considered, procedures/tests/records used, and other relevant factors.

  • Updated the PRISE information to reflect the current state requirements.

  • Simplified the “To Obtain a copy…” and “For help…” content by removing the gray headers and table/grid formatting to match the state format.
