Individualized Education Program: Exemptions, Graduation Requirements profile.

Enhanced the way data flows between the IEP > “Exemptions” section and the Graduation Requirements profile.

Now, when the IEP is finalized, the Graduation Test> Category record in Exemptions correctly updates the Graduation Requirements profile.

Note that, the Graduation Requirements will be captured on the profile only when the Graduation Tests are marked as Applicable on the IEP > Exemption section.

We’ve also added a warning message on the profile, indicating to staff that the test area is not required to be added if Exemptions are marked as No (i.e., the Exempt Y/N checkbox is not checked)

ETR School Age Planning Form PR-06

Added a fourth dropdown for suspected disabilities in the ETR School Age Planning Form PR-06, aligning with state guidelines.

SPEDSM-132685

Individualized Education Program: LRE/Assessment

The LRE Outcome ID field on the LRE/Assessment section in new IEPs no longer auto-populates from the student profile, preventing accidental errors in state reporting. While working on the new IEP document, the user must choose the LRE Outcome ID, which will be updated on the profile once the document is finalized.

SPEDSM-133231

Individualized Education Program: Exemptions

Improved the IEP > Exemptions section so the “significant cognitive disability” question only appears when the relevant 'Applicable' checkbox is selected by the user, streamlining the user experience for Ohio districts.

SPEDSM-133767

Individualized Education Program: Student eSignature

Students 18 or older are no longer required to have parent signatures on their IEPs. The student’s signature is now required and selected by default, with parent/guardian signatures optional. Staff can choose to include the parent/guardian for signature if needed, but the system will not mandate the parent/guardian signature if the student is an adult at the time of the IEP.

SPEDSM-134940

Individualized Education Program: Exemptions

The Category dropdown in the Exemptions section now updates dynamically based on the student’s selected assessment on LRE/Assessment section, ensuring only relevant options are shown.

The Exemptions-Categories will be listed based on the determination made on the Assessments section, if the student is participating in the Alternate Assessment for Students with Significant Cognitive Disabilities (AASCD), or the student will participate in district-wide and state-wide assessments with accommodations.

SPEDSM-136003

KeywordTable: Relationship

The new keyword EDO keyword (“Educational Decisions Only”) is added to the Relationship keyword table.

Administrator users can now fully manage keywords without waiting for a state model release.

The ServicesOH keyword table now allows admins to edit descriptions for custom keywords, making configuration more flexible.

SPEDSM-132947

Keyword Table: ExiReason

Bug Fix Summary

SPEDSM-129035

eSchoolPLUS Student IEPStatus Export

We’ve corrected an issue in the eSchoolPLUS Student IEPStatus (studentIEPStatus) export for Ohio districts where students with the SpecialEducationExitReason keyword C14X (No Longer Eligible) were not being included correctly.

Previously, the IEPStatus column did not account for the C14X exit reason, leaving the IEPStatus value empty in the export and causing row-level errors in eSchoolPLUS for affected students.

With this update:

  • The keyword “No Longer Eligible (C14X)” has been added to the ExitReasonTable.

  • The export report criteria and IEPStatus column conditions have been updated to include C14X.

  • Students who have exited special education with reason C14X now export with a valid IEPStatus value, preventing “Missing or empty property: IEPStatus” errors and removing incorrect special education alerts in eSchoolPLUS.

This change applies to the eSchoolPLUS - PSSP integration

Parent Invitation (PR-02)

Fixed an error that occurred when entering the staff detail in the Contact lookup box of the Parent Invitation PR-02 document for Ohio. Previously, users would see an error report due to a mismatch in allowed character length for the Work Telephone Number field.

The field has now been updated to support longer values, so staff can be added without any issues, and documents can be completed smoothly.

  • Fixed a configuration error that caused an error report when entering certain staff in the Contact lookup textbox by increasing the allowed character length for the Work Telephone Number field.

SPEDSM-130664

Preschool Evaluation Planning Form (PR-06)

Resolved an issue where the text “Duplicate editable fields” was incorrectly appearing on the signature line and after the Audiological Examination area in the Preschool Evaluation Planning Form (PR-06).

Now, the form displays only the intended fields, ensuring a clean and professional document for staff and families. Users can view, edit, print, and sign the document without any stray text or formatting issues.

SPEDSM-136653

Referral for Evaluation

The Prior Written Notice (PR-01) embedded in the Referral for Evaluation (PR-04) had incorrect headers. Now, the header correctly reads “PR-01 Prior Written Notice to Parents” as expected.
