Active Directory Integration

Review the management and functionality of the Active Directory Integration.

PowerSchool Special Programs has the capability to integrate staff security with Active Directory. This integration supports one or more domains in a domain forest.

There are four levels of integration that can be used once the Active Directory module is installed (Refer to the Installation and Management Guide for installation instructions):

  1. Authentication of staff credentials when logging in
  2. Linking staff security to a user's Active Directory group membership
  3. Linking staff location (school) access to a user's Active Directory group membership
  4. Automatically provisioning users in PowerSchool Special Programs based on Active Directory group membership
