Notice of Initial Proposed IEP – Review Status & Finalization Rule

• When an Initial IEP is moved to Review status, a Notice of Initial Proposed IEP is automatically generated.

• Users cannot finalize an Initial IEP while the related Notice of Initial Proposed IEP is in Draft or Review status. A validation message will display:
  “The Notice of Initial Proposed IEP must be finalized before the IEP can be finalized.”

• Once the Notice of Initial Proposed IEP is finalized, the Initial IEP may be finalized.

• An Initial IEP cannot be set to Active unless the parent has signed or accepted the Notice of Initial Proposed IEP.

• If the parent refuses, does not sign, or does not respond, the Initial IEP may remain finalized but cannot become Active.

• The Notice of Initial Proposed IEP is not generated if the student is found ineligible or if the parent rejects FAPE.

Notice of Evaluation/Reevaluation

When “Parent will sign a paper copy” is selected on the Notice of Evaluation, the Office Use Only section appears but the entered data is not retained after saving or finalizing.

Update

Data entered in Office Use Only (Mode of Delivery, Date of Delivery, Parent Response, Parent Response Date) is now saved.

The section remains recorded and available for reporting after save and finalization.

Notice of Initial Findings Section Incorrectly Appears on Re‑evaluation and Annual Case Conference Notices

• The “Notice of Initial Findings and Proposed Action” section now displays only on initial case conference notices.

• The section is automatically hidden for Re-evaluation and Annual notices.

Updates to the IEP and SP documents

1. In the meeting notes and participants area of IEP and SP document, the ‘Signature’ and ‘Date’ fields will not display if the attended checkbox for parent is not selected in the participants table.

2. In the Service Plan document, ‘Service Plan acknowledgement’ area will not display in the Meeting notes and participants section if the student is not eligible ('No' option is selected in the eligibility determination section).

In the Accommodations section of IEP and Service Plan document, if Student is Participating in Alternate Assessment and for IAM Accommodation Type is Selected ‘Meets Criteria to participate in alternate assessment without accommodations’, then accommodations is selected as ‘Alternate Tester’ by default and same flows to the Accommodations profile upon finalization of the document.

LRE in SE Program Record for a PreK/K12 LRE IEP

An update has been made to the main LRE field for it to reference the Plan Date in the LRE record relative to the current Date. If a PreK and a K12 LRE are both in the IEP the system will look at the current date and use the respective LRE in respect to the above mentioned parameters.
