Updates to Digital Signature Reporting

To provide greater visibility into the status of electronically signed forms, we’ve updated the existing DocuSign report and introduced a new companion report to track incomplete forms.

1. Updated Report: eSignature Status Report

The existing DocuSign Status Report has been enhanced and renamed to eSignature Status Report under the eSignatures category.

Key Changes:
  • The report now displays only students who have at least one e-signature form recorded (any column with data).
Students without any e-signature activity will no longer appear.

  • The report includes students regardless of DocHistory.

  • Only completed e-signature forms will be displayed.

2. New Report: eSignature Incomplete Forms

A new report titled "eSignature Incomplete Forms" has been added to the eSignatures category.

Key Features:
  • Displays students and forms with e-signature status of Sent, Delivered, Autoresponded, or Processing.

  • Includes students regardless of DocHistory.

  • Only forms that have been sent for signature (via DocuSign or PS Digital Signature) and are pending completion will appear.

  • Students with no pending e-signature forms will not be displayed.

These updates provide a clearer view of which forms are completed and which are still in progress, supporting better tracking and follow-up for both DocuSign and PS Digital Signature processes.

Track Setup Table updates

The system will now allow administrators to add a new track with descriptions to the ‘Track Setup’ table.

SPEDSM-132985

Initial Evaluation, PWN, Consent, and Request for Consent for Reevaluation

For Initial Evaluation, PWN and Consent, and Request for Consent for Reevaluation, parent consent response capture via Digital Signature

  • The system now enforces the correct selection of the consent response on the Reevaluation PWN and Consent form during digital signing.

    • LEA request options can only be selected if Option 3 (“I do NOT give consent...”) is chosen.

    • If selections are invalid, a validation message is shown, and digital signature submission is blocked until corrected.

  • This ensures compliance with consent guidelines.

  • The behavior is supported only when PowerSchool Digital Signature is used for electronic signatures.

SPEDSM-133655

IEP: Procedural Safeguard - Timeline Waiver

The “Timeline Waiver” section has been reintroduced in the IEP 2025 version, consistent with the format used in previous years’ IEP forms.

  • The Timeline Waiver section has been included in the IEP form once again.

  • It appears under the Procedural Safeguards area, following the Billing Notice section.

  • This update restores the section to its original display in earlier IEP versions, maintaining consistency and compliance with the prior year’s form layout.

SPEDSM-134123

School Age IEP - LRE: Override School Hours

  • Changes have been implemented to ensure the “Overridden” checkbox in the IEP > LRE section is shown only when valid placement data is available. This update improves data accuracy and prevents unintended overrides.

    • The “Overridden” checkbox now appears only when the selected Location (selected in the Placement section) has a non-zero, non-blank value for Total Hours in School Day.

    • If Total Hours in School Day is zero or blank, the checkbox is hidden in all document modes: Edit, View, and Print.

    • This behavior applies to all existing IEPs and to new IEPs created using the 2025 IEP version.

  • To improve data accuracy and reduce unintended entries in Section B within the IEP LRE section.

    • The lookup field for Name of School or Facility will now display only when its associated checkbox is selected.

    • If the checkbox is unchecked, the system will automatically clear any data entered in this field when the document is saved.

NOREP & Reevaluation PWN and Consent

For NOREP & Reevaluation PWN and Consent, parent consent response capture via Digital Signature

  • The system now enforces the correct selection of the consent response during digital signing on the Reevaluation PWN and Consent form.

  • Changes will be applied to newly created documents only after this release.

Bug Fix Title

Bug Fix Summary

SPEDSM-132998

Initial Evaluation PWN and Consent

A fix has been provided to address an issue where users were unable to create the Initial Evaluation PWN and Consent document for students transferring from another district or state.

Previously, the system prevented the creation of an Initial Evaluation PWN and Consent for a transferred student.

This occurred because the system only checked if the latest Reevaluation Date was populated and if the student was eligible, which incorrectly restricted transferred students whose prior district’s evaluation dates were being carried over.

SPEDSM-134477

Positive Behavior Support Plan

A fix has been implemented to ensure that Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs) are created smoothly and accurately, using data from the IEP > Services section.

The system has been updated so that:

  • All fields copied from IEP > Services into the PBSP now match correctly in data type, character length, and logical rules.

  • Users can create PBSPs without errors.

  • All applicable IEP Services data is successfully and accurately copied into the PBSP.

This update ensures a consistent, reliable workflow for generating PBSPs from IEP documentation.

SPEDSM-134683

Notice of Recommended Educ. Placement (NOREP)

A fix has been implemented to address an issue where parents/guardians were unable to select required consent checkboxes when attempting to sign the NOREP form digitally.
