Notice of Recommended Educational Placement/PWN

Updated the details for the Resources on the Notice of Recommended Educational Placement/PWN form to match the state form.

School Age IEP: Services & LRE, NOREP

Corrected System Behavior on IEP and NOREP Forms:

• IEP > LRE Section: Users can now save the form by completing either Section A or Section B, as intended.

• IEP > Services Section: The Related Services dropdown now supports selection of ‘Other’, allowing users to enter custom services in the accompanying text field.

• NOREP Form – Placement Data: Corrected data population to ensure that Placement details from the most recent IEP or IEP Revision in the current school year are accurately reflected.

  • The #7 Textarea on the NOREP form now correctly displays Placement information sourced from the Placements section of the most recent IEP or IEP Revision available in the current school year

Notification Feature: Parent/Guardian Signature on PTE Forms

Case Managers and Staff who create Evalaution PWN/Consent forms, and/or initiate the digital signature for these forms,will now be automatically notified when the first parent/guardian signature is submitted.

Applicable Forms (Default Support):

• Initial Evaluation PWN and Consent

• Reevaluation PWN and Consent

• Request for Consent for Reevaluation

• Permission to Evaluate (Gifted)

Behavior:

When the first parent/guardian signs any of the supported forms:

• An email notification is sent to:

  • The student’s Case Manager

  • The form creator (Staff who created the document)

  • Initiator of the e-signature process

• A PSSP Message also appears under:

  • Unread Messages on the home page

  • Login notifications on the PSSP dashboard

The feature is supported when Staff user initiates the Digital Signature Process, not an administrator or consultant users.

Any changes required for the notification frequency or the recipients list should be routed via the PowerSchool Support Team.
