SPEDSM-128301

Special Education Profile - Exiting/Graduation Section - Exiting Exceptionality Field

Enhanced the Special Education profile – Exiting/Graduation section to automatically populate the Exiting Exceptionality field when a student is determined to be no longer eligible for special education services.

This occurs when the user:

  • Sets the Notice and Eligibility Decision document to Final, and

  • Enter a Special Education Exit Date and Special Education Exit Reason on the Special Education profile – Exiting/Graduation section.

Student Transfer Review Document

Improved the Student Transfer Review document process so that when In-State Transfer is selected and the document is set to Final, existing data for Alternate Assessment, LRE, and IEP dates on the Special Education profile remains intact.

SPEDSM-128766

Student Demographic Profile - Ethnic Information Section - Race/Ethnicity Field

Updated the Ethnic Information section within the Student Demographic Profile as follows:

  • The Ethnicity field has been removed.

  • The Race field has been renamed to Race/Ethnicity and now uses the following updated list of values:

    • American Indian or Alaskan Native

    • Asian

    • Black or African American

    • Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander

    • White

    • Middle Eastern or North African

    • Hispanic

  • For any student records where Ethnicity: Hispanic or Latino was previously selected, this designation has been migrated to the new Hispanic race option.

These changes have been applied across all associated references, including profiles, reports, and snapshots (e.g., State Reporting profile, Child Count report/snapshot, etc.).

Student Exiting Special Education Report

Updated the Student Exiting Special Education report selection criteria to include records where the Exceptionality field is blank. Previously, these records were excluded because the selection criteria did not account for blank values.
