State and Regional Controller Management of Globals Fields

This update enhances SRC Controller capabilities for managing Global reporting date fields in the Alabama (AL) state model, streamlines synchronization to tenant districts, and retires script-based reporting date updates. The benefits of these changes are listed:

  • SRC Controller users can directly edit specified Globals reporting date fields.

  • Updates to these Globals reporting date fields can be propagated to tenant districts using the "Sync to Tenants" function.

  • Field-level audit metadata is displayed for these Globals reporting date fields, including last modified by and last modified date/time.

  • Legacy script-based processes for updating Globals reporting date fields are retired in favor of the new SRC Controller-driven behavior.

The fields that will now be managed by the Controller include:

  • FirstDayOfSchool

  • LastDayOfSchool

  • CountDate

  • AllowedEvaluationDays

  • GiftedSnapShotStartDate

Updates to Support Preschool and Eligibility Compliance

Alabama / Preschool Profile: Users with Edit permission for the Preschool Profile can now update the compliance fields “Range of Days of Eligibility Determined After 3rd Birthday”, “Reasons for Late Eligibility,” “Range of days IEP developed after 3rd birthday”, and “Reasons for late IEP Development” which were previously restricted to administrators. This change streamlines day-to-day workflow for case managers/coordinators and supports more accurate and timely eligibility compliance reporting, with no other behavior changes.

Active IEP Calculation Modification for Out-of-State Transfer Students

The Active IEP calculation that determines a student’s Status has been modified for Out-of-State transfer students. The system will only enable the Transfer Review Document to bypass inactive rules for the first 90 days after local sign-off. Beginning on day 91, the system will calculate the status following standard Alabama business rules.

This change improves compliance and supports more accurate Alabama state reporting for out-of-state transfer students.
