Service Plan - Least Restrictive Environment Section
The Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) section is included in the following two profiles:
Under each of these profiles, different aspects of LRE are captured.
When the page loads, all mandatory fields in this section have a pink background. Once they are filled, the fields turn yellow.
However, if the fields are not filled out at the time of submission, users get an error message on the screen.
LRE as a section in the Service Plan
To access the LRE Section, you must first open the student's Individualized Education Program Profile and scroll down to the LRE section.

Student Information
The following table shows the fields that are captured as Student Information under the LRE Section of the IEP Profile.

General Considerations
In this section, you are expected to answer the following questions by choosing either ‘Yes’ or ‘No’.

The length of the instructional day will be the same as the instructional day for non-disabled peers.

The Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) is a principle under IDEA that ensures students with disabilities are educated alongside their non-disabled peers to the maximum extent appropriate. LRE is intended to provide access to the general education curriculum while meeting a student’s individual needs.
