IEP: Summary of Services Matrix - New column added: Staff Designing Goal

A new "Staff Designing Goal" field has been added to the Summary of Services Matrix in the IEP document and to the Services and Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) profiles for the Washington (WA) state model.

What's New

  • New column — "Staff Designing Goal" added to the Summary of Services Matrix section of the IEP document, visible under both Special Education (SDI) and Related Services child templates.

  • New field on profiles — "Staff Designing Goal" is now available on the Services and StudentServices1 (SDI) profiles, with data flowing automatically from the IEP document.

  • New Global Configuration Option — AddStaffDesigningGoal — Administrators can toggle the visibility of the "Staff Designing Goal" column on the IEP document and Services grid. Default is False (column will remain hidden on IEP> Summary of Services Matrix section).

    • When enabled, the column is visible in edit mode on the document, and the field becomes required on the profile to accept the form.

    • When disabled, the column is hidden in the document, but the field remains visible on profiles (read-only, not required).

    • "Staff Designing Goal” column will be displayed only in edit mode and hidden in Print/View mode.

Evaluation Report

We updated the Evaluation Report so that the Eligibility Determination Date now carries over correctly from the original document to the revision and remains non-editable during revisions.

Transportation Form

The Case Manager dataflow from the Transportation Form to the profile has been removed, ensuring that selecting a Case Manager on the document keeps it confined to the document and does not update the Case Manager field in the profile during finalization.

Student name display customization

We're making it easier for districts to honor student and family preferences while staying compliant.

This update introduces a flexible way to choose how a student's name appears across official documentation.

  • To provide districts with greater flexibility, we've added a "Use Student's Preferred Name" checkbox to document cover pages, allowing users to toggle between legal and preferred names across all document sections and headers.

  • To ensure consistent and professional documentation, the chosen name display now automatically syncs across headers, address sections, participant lists, and digital signature fields for key templates like Meeting Minutes and Procedural Safeguards.

  • The changes apply to all active documents in the Other and Private School document categories.
