APR 07 - Preschool Outcome Summary - Statewide Report

The Annual Performance Report 07 (APR 07) - Preschool Outcome Summary - Statewide Report provides information on the progress and achievements of preschool-aged students with disabilities in various developmental domains. It typically includes data on the outcomes related to the student’s social-emotional development, acquisition and use of knowledge and skills, and access to and participation in appropriate educational activities. The report may also include information on the assessment tools and methods used to measure these outcomes.

However, for federal reporting, it is required to convert the child’s numeric rating scores into alpha scores that demonstrate the child's progress while in the special education program.

The data for the Child Outcome Summary will convert rating data from the current APR 7 Preschool Outcome report and populate this report, displaying alpha scores instead of numeric ratings.

The report displays the district’s numbers alongside the state’s, so you can compare how they are doing, District vs. State.

Submission requirements

  • The user must select a school year value. When selecting a school year, the report will default to using 7/1 to 6/30 of the applicable school year.

This report will include the student if they meet the following conditions:

  • student is active or inactive.

  • student has an LEA Entry/Exit record that is Stage 5 enrollment within the selected school year (7/1/xx-6/30/xx).

  • student has an Outcome Exit Date value within the reporting date range or the student does not have an Outcome Exit Date and has an Outcome Entry Date that is less than or equal to 3 years from the reporting end date where the Outcome Reason is No Outcomes.

  • student must have a Plan History record that is within the reporting date range with a Plan Type of IEP.

  • student must have a grade of P3 or P4 (via LEA Enrollment profile) that is within the reporting date range.

  • student must be age 3-5 using the Outcome Exit Date value. The Outcome Entry Date and Outcome Exit Date must be within 6 months apart.

The conversion will occur in the report for each category for each child:

  • Acquisition and use of knowledge and skills

  • Use of appropriate behaviors to meet their needs

  • In the ‘Target’ field, selecting ‘Controller' displays collective data for the entire state.

  • In the ‘Target’ field, when you select ‘any of the tenants', it displays data specific to that tenant only.

    • When you change the ‘Target’ selection, the data displayed in the tables below will change.

    • It is possible that, for a specific ‘tenant’, all values in the tables below are 0 because none of the students at that tenant match the selection criteria.

    • However, when you select ‘Target’ =Controller', all values are considered collectively, across all tenants.

  1. Once the report is generated, it is displayed like below.
