New features and enhancements

Release Note

A new ‘Access Import and Export Logs’ system-administration privilege has been added.

The ‘View All Configuration’ privilege is already required to see import/export layouts, but it does not grant access to the import/export logs. If the staff user also has the new ‘Access Import and Export Logs’ privilege, then the import/export logs can be accessed with an additional qualifier.

Since the logs may contain links to profiles, the staff user is required to have the ‘View <Student or Other Profile> (System-Wide)’ privilege corresponding to the type of profile that is the target of the log. Note that if the staff user is missing the view profile privilege but has the other privileges, the user will see the link to access the log, but it will be grayed out with a tool tip reason explaining why.

Digital Signature

A new ‘Reset This Signer’ option will be shown for individual signers that currently have the ‘Signed’, ‘Declined’ or ‘Opted Out’ status with either the Sign Now method or Email method, but this new option will only be shown if the digital signature process is still pending.

Sign In as This User

If a staff member has the 'Log in as Other Users for Support (System-Wide)' privilege, they will see the 'Sign in as This User' button on the Staff Security Profile page of any other staff member who has an active login.

Notification of Parent/Guardian Signature

  1. District-Level Setting: A new option has been introduced on the district-level digital signature settings page to determine whether a notification should be sent to the staff member who initiated the signature request when a parent/guardian signs. This setting can only be configured by an Admin or Consultant.

  2. Document Template-Level Setting: A new option has been added to the document template-level digital signature configuration page to designate a signer as a parent/guardian. This setting can only be configured by the Model Engineer or Consultant.

  3. Notification Trigger: If the district-level setting is enabled and a signer designated as a parent/guardian (as per point #2) signs, an email notification will be sent to the staff member who initiated the signature request.

Important Note: The Model Team must implement the necessary changes to identify signers as parents/guardians. Without this configuration, the feature may not function as intended, even if the district-level setting is enabled.
Additionally, the staff notification feature implemented in this ticket will not apply to documents that were already sent for digital signature. It will only work for documents sent for signature after the platform release and the required model configuration release for the associated setup.
