View Transfer Envelope History

Overview

You can now view a read-only history of transfer envelopes for students moving into and out of your district.

This report provides a comprehensive audit trail of student transfer activity across tenants, including package identifiers, student details, and key timestamps in the transfer process.

What This Report Shows

This feature lets you:

  • See all transfer activity related to your district

  • Review transfers where student records were sent from or received by your district

Each record includes:

  • Student identifier and name

  • Envelope creation, sent, and accepted timestamps

  • Sending and receiving districts/workspaces

  • Time intervals between steps (for example, creation → sent, sent → accepted)

How to Access

  1. Go to Utilities

  2. Select View Transfer Envelope History

Filter and Sort Records

Use the available options to refine and organize results:

Filters

  • Transfer Type: Sent, Received, or All

  • Date Range: Filter by relevant transfer dates

  • District/Tenant (if applicable)

Sorting

  • Click column headers to sort (ascending/descending)

Navigation

  • Use pagination controls to move through multiple pages of results

Understanding Transfer Status

Each record reflects a stage in the transfer lifecycle:

  • Created – Envelope has been generated but not sent

  • Sent – Envelope has been dispatched to the receiving district

  • Accepted (Received) – Receiving district has imported the record

Unsent envelopes (Created but not Sent) are still displayed in the report and may remain visible until they expire based on system retention rules.

Exporting the Report

You can export the report for further analysis or recordkeeping.

The exported file includes additional details not visible in the on-screen report, such as:

  • Envelope ID

  • Source and target profile identifiers

  • Workspace or database details

  • Transfer direction (Sent/Received)

Use the exported file when you need deeper auditing, reconciliation, or to share transfer data externally.

Access-Level Differences

District (Tenant) View

  • Displays transfers sent from or received by your district

  • Allows filtering by transfer type (Sent/Received)

Controller (Multi-tenant) View

  • Displays transfer activity across multiple districts

  • Shows both source and target districts

  • Does not include a Sent/Received toggle

Limitations

  • Email-based transfers

    • The report indicates that a transfer was sent via email

    • Destination district details may not be available

  • Manual download/upload transfers

    • Transfers shared outside the system are not tracked after download

    • This may result in gaps in transfer history

  • Unsent envelopes

    • Appear in the report, but do not indicate a successful transfer

When to Use This Report

  • To confirm whether a student record was successfully transferred

  • To track when a receiving district accepted a transfer

  • To investigate delays or missing records

  • To support audits and compliance reviews
