Assessment Decision (SA Only)

Completing the Assessment Decision Section

  • From the flyout menu, select Assessment Decision

  • The document pre-populates the student information from the IEP cover page:

    • Student Name

    • ID

    • Meeting Date

  • Assessment Decision There are three (3) main checkboxes. Only one can be checked. The state reportable, Alternate Portfolio, value will flow to both the Special Education Information profile and to the newly created Plan History record. The Alternate Portfolio value is used for state reporting and will be sent to eSchoolPLUS via the integration process. The value is sent from the student’s Plan History profile (not from the Special Education Information profile).

    • (First Main Checkbox) The student will participate in regular statewide and district wide required assessments without accommodations. Upon finalizing the IEP (and the IEP is set to Active), the Alternate Portfolio value of NA value flows to the special education profile and to the newly created Plan History profile.

    • (Second Main Checkbox) The student will participate in regular statewide and district wide required assessments with the following accommodations which are consistent with this IEP and test administration guidelines. When the user checks the box, any accommodations on the Special Factors page that has the “Display on Assessment Decision Page” checked will display below the checkbox and are read-only. Any modifications to the accommodations listed on this section must be made on the Special Factors page. At least one accommodation must be selected on the Special Factors page and displayed in this section to complete the page. Upon finalizing the IEP (and the IEP is set to Active), the Alternate Portfolio value of NA value flows to the special education profile and to the newly created Plan History profile.

      • Four (4) Questions - When the user checks the second main checkbox, and the student’s grade (indicated on IEP cover page) is Kindergarten, First Grade or Second Grade the 4 checkboxes will all default to No and will not be editable. When the student’s grade is not Kindergarten, First Grade or Second Grade, the Yes/No checkboxes are required to be selected. If all 4 questions are answered as Yes, then the system will auto check the 3rd checkbox (Arkansas Alt Assessment). See below for Third Main Checkbox data flow logic for Alternate Portfolio.

    • (Third Main Checkbox) The student meets the criteria for participation in the Arkansas Alternate Assessment as documented above. The checkbox cannot be manually checked or unchecked as it is auto selected based on the 4 questions above. When all four questions are Yes, then this item value checked. If any of the four values are No, then the checkbox is not auto checked.
