Placement Continuum (EC Only)

The section is only applicable for Early Childhood IEPs.

Completing the Placement Continuum Section

  • From the flyout menu, select Placement Continuum

  • The document pre-populates the student information from the IEP cover page. 

    • Student Name 

    • ID 

    • Meeting Date 

  • Complete the Placement Continuum by selecting a placement. This is the LRE code used for state reporting. Upon finalization of the IEP document, this value will flow to the new Plan History profile in the LRE field and to the Special Education Information profile, LRE field. The field is then used for reporting and exports to eSchoolPLUS for compliance reporting. 

  • Complete the Least Restrictive Environment Considerations by selection an option under Extent of Participation in General Education. The user may select more than one option. 

  • Complete Is this placement in the school the child would normally attend if nondisabled?  By selecting Yes or No. [required] 

    • If the selection above is no, complete If no, Is the placement as close as possible to the child's home? By selecting Yes or No. . [required] 

      • If the selection above is no, complete If no, explain why the IEP requires other arrangements …. . [required] 

  • Complete Parent(s) received Parent Survey … [required] 

  • Complete Parent was provided a copy of the IEP … [required] 

  • Select Save, Done Editing
