Completing the Special Factors Section

From the flyout menu, select Special Factors.

Complete the following fields by selecting Yes or No and entering the prompted information. When selecting Yes, a required text box displays.

Select Yes or No for Supplementary aids and services, program modifications and accommodations, and/or supports for personnel in general education or other education-related settings. When the user selects Yes, an Accommodation/Modifications grid appears. At least one Accommodation/Modification is required.

Under Accommodations/Modifications, select appropriate modifications from the drop-down with long text explanation. If accommodation is selected, a text field is required. If the IEP is a School Age IEP (not Early Childhood IEP), an additional column is displayed “Display on Assessment Decision Page”. If the user selects “The student will participate in regular statewide and district wide required assessments with the following accommodations on the Assessment Decision page, only the Assessment/Modifications that are selected here will display as read only on the Assessment Decision page.

Click + to add more accommodations/modifications.

Add Other supplementary aids and supports needed (optional).

Select Save, Done Editing.
If there are required fields not yet completed, the system will display the following error message: Section was saved, but is incomplete until all required fields (pink highlighted) are filled.
Text responses can be captured in two ways:

Text formatted in the textbox provided alongside the field.
